Version 1.0 for Apple Silicon

Windows Explorer speed, native on your Mac.

Mac Explorer puts a real path bar, cut & paste, tabs, dual panes and your work OneDrive in a single window — so files go where you want them without the Finder detour.

Features

Everything you kept opening a second window for.

Built as a native macOS app around the file-management habits that Finder never picked up.

Tabs and side-by-side panes

Open as many tabs as you need and split the window into two live panes. Drag between them to move files without a second window.

Your Mac and work OneDrive together

Local volumes and your work OneDrive account sit in the same sidebar. Browse both, and copy across the boundary like any other folder.

Real cut, copy and paste

⌘X actually moves the file. A transfers bar shows every copy in flight with live progress, so long moves never disappear into the void.

Undo a move instantly

Dropped a folder in the wrong place? ⌘Z puts it back exactly where it came from — including transfers between your Mac and OneDrive.

Preview and details panes

A preview pane for the selected file and a details pane summarising folder contents, item counts and total size at a glance.

Details view by default

Name, date modified, kind and size columns, sortable in either direction, on every folder you open — no per-folder view settings to fight.

Shortcuts that muscle memory expects

⌘T new tab, ⌘N new folder, ⌘R refresh, ⌘↑ parent folder, ⌘C/⌘X/⌘V, Delete to bin, plus mouse back and forward thumb buttons.

Search where you are

Filter the current folder as you type, with the full path always visible and editable in the address bar above the list.

Mac Explorer vs Finder

The same files. A far shorter route to them.
